The ABCs of Kindergarten Registration

Livingston Public Schools begins the process for the Class of 2026.

Although the start of the new school year seems a long way off, Livingston Public Schools is beginning the process now.

If you have a child who will turn 5 on or before October 1, 2013, please click here to find out what you need to do to get ready for the first day of Kindergarten.

Livingston Public Schools determines the placement of students based upon the enrollment at each elementary school. You will be notified of your child’s assigned school by June 1, 2013.

You’ll also need to download the Kindergarten Registration Packet available on the District's website here. Or obtain a hard copy at the Livingston Public Schools Central Office, located at 11 Foxcroft Drive, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

In addition to the completed Kindergarten Registration and Medical packets, you’ll need the following four items:

1.    Student’s original Birth Certificate.
2.    Parent/Guardian’s Driver’s License.
3.    Original Deed or Tax Bill OR Copy of Lease and Owner Landlord Affidavit Form.
4.    Original Utility Bill (current month or one month prior).

Completed forms and all supporting documentation must be returned in person to the Administrative Building by appointment only. Your appointment will be scheduled based on the child’s last name beginning February 4.

For more information, call Amy Ennis, the District’s registrar at (973) 535-8000 ext. 8002.
