National Night Out, Blood Drive, Synagogue Showcase and More

Give blood and save a life this Monday. The Livingston Public Library, in conjunction with The Blood Center of New Jersey, will hold a blood drive at the library from 2-7 p.m. This drive is being held in an effort to meet the urgency of the community’s increasing need for blood.

Everyone is welcome to the Synagogue Showcase and JCC Program Fair on Monday starting at 6 p.m. at the JCC MetroWest, at 760 Northfield Ave. Get your free High Holiday tickets for New Members of the Community with Metro Pass.

Learn all that the JCC MetroWest has to offer, from acting and scuba diving to basketball and Zumba. You can also register for fall programs and more. 

The Livingston Police Department will hold its fifth National Night Out on Tuesday at the Memorial Oval. 

The free event begins at 5:30 p.m. and offers food and soft drinks, rides, face painting, balloons and carnival games for children, giveaways, live bands, a DJ, law enforcement displays, safety and security demonstrations and anti-drug activities. The local band Going Dark will headline National Night Out. 

Get ready for your weekend garage/yard/estate sale by filling out this easy (and free!) form on Monday. Patch will use the information to build an interactive map for people to find your weekend sale.  

Get your weekly rundown on Thursday of new homes on the auction block in Livingston.

The Livingston Public Library's Summer Movie rolls on with the showing of "Silver Linings Playbook" on Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the library. The movie is rater R for language and some sexual content. The movie is free and open to everyone.

On Friday, find where garage/yard/estate sales are happening in Livingston and surrounding area using Patch's interactive map.
