Activities for Kids During Holiday Break
Skating, nature and camps offered.
There's help for parents over the holidays when kids are home from school. The Richard J. Codey Arena, the Essex County Environmental Center and the West Essex YMCA are offering activities for children in the week between Christmas and New Year's. Hockey and figure skating programs will run at Codey Arena in West Orange. On December 30 and 31, a Holiday Hockey Clinic will be held for children ages 6 to 13 years old; prior hockey experience is necessary. The Holiday Figure Skate Clinic will be held on December 26 and 27 is open to children ages 7 and older (adults welcome, too).
