FBI releases photos of Monday's robbery at TD Bank.
The FBI is seeking the public’s help identifying the man who robbed a TD Bank on Pleasant Valley Way in West Orange on Monday. The man, described by the FBI as approximately 5’10” tall and 210 lbs., with a large build, salt-and-pepper hair and a goatee, approached a bank teller at approximately 1:15 p.m., brandished a silver semi-automatic handgun and demanded money be placed into a blue bag, officials said. The man was described as wearing a baseball cap, sunglasses, a dark sweater, blue jeans and dark shoes, according to the FBI. After getting the money, officials said the man fled on foot and was seen walking north on Pleasant Valley Way. The FBI released several photos of the man on Wednesday. Man caught on tape burglarizing a West Orange Chinese Restaurant is also wanted in Montclair, Millburn, Verona and Fairfield.
A man suspected in more than 150 commercial burglaries in four New Jersey counties over the last two years has been caught on surveillance tape by the West Orange Police Department. The video of the serial burglar's last known job, on Nov. 18 at 4:30 a.m., at the #1 Chinese Kitchen on Main Street, depicts the man breaking into the restaurant by smashing the lower half of a glass door, crawling through the opening, and rummaging through the cash register. He found the register empty and left 15 minutes later, police said. Once police captured the man’s appearance on tape, they were able to get his face out across state channels, West Orange Det. The West Orange Police Department provided some new details into the Livingston home invasion that occurred on Monday morning where Tyrone Gadsden, of Roselle, attack a woman and robbed a house. Gadsden, 48, was wearing an orange vest and white hard hat as he went to the house on North Hillside Avenue in Livingston. Once inside, he took capture of a worker in the residence and ransacked the house before leading police on a car chase throughout Livingston. A woman working at a Livingston home was punched in the face and bound with duct tape after a man wearing a hard hat and vest pushed his way into the house in an apparent home invasion, according to Livingston Detective Sgt. Anthony Dippold. The woman, whose identity was not released, was working in a home on North Hillside Avenue when a man rang the doorbell around 11:30 am and said he was there to fix a “problem with the water.” When the woman refused to let him in, Livingston Police say he pushed his way in and tackled the woman, whose age was given as 45.
