South Orange Police Arrest Livingston Man

Driver faces DWI charge after striking cement island on South Orange Avenue near Church Street on Jan. 31.

A 42-year-old Livingston man was arrested by South Orange police on Jan. 31 after officers saw his car strike a cement island on South Orange Avenue near Church Street, South Orange police officials said. Brian Gordon was driving along the roadway at 3 a.m. when officers saw the incident and stopped the car. Following an investigation, police arrested Gordon and charged him with driving under the influence. He was taken to police headquarters and processed, police said. No further information was released.
