Livingston Joined in MLK Day of Service
Residents participated in numerous service projects with local organizations.
The Livingston Committee for Diversity sponsored the 14th Annual Day of Service in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday at Livingston High School. Participants engaged in various service projects with local organizations, including assembling emergency kits, collecting non-perishable foods and supplies for local food kitchens and making crafts using recycled materials. Projects included making musical instruments for children with special needs, holding a food drive with local Girl Scout troops, putting together toiletry kits for the Immigration and Refugee program and a homeless shelter sponsored by Lutheran Social Ministries, making cookie jars for the Temple B’nai Abraham TTO group, and more.
