Mom's Recipe Could Be Worth a Million Bucks

Kim Van Dunk of Caldwell is the New Jersey finalist in the 46th Pillsbury Bake-Off contest.

A local mom and home cook is one step closer to her million-dollar dream. Kim Van Dunk of Caldwell was named Thursday the New Jersey finalist in the 46th Pillsbury Bake-Off contest, according to an announcement on Pillsbury.com. Van Dunk entered her recipe for meatball and breadstick sub skewers in the Doable Dinner category of the competition, and it was selected to be one of 60 semi-finalists by Pillsbury's test kitchens. The public voted for their favorites and now Van Dunk will compete for the $1 million grand prize in Las Vegas this November. Celebrity Chef, Jamie Geller will be the head judge and guest of honor for the 2013 Man-O-Manischewitz® Cook-Off Contest, now in Newark

Attention, Livingston cooks! Celebrity Chef, Jamie Geller will be in the house, serving as the head judge and guest of honor for the 2013 Man-O-Manischewitz® Cook-Off Contest, which will take place in Newark on Thursday, March 21. For the first time ever, Manischewitz will be hosting the live Cook-Off on at their headquarters and manufacturing facilities in Newark.  The headquarters has been specially retrofitted for the event. Geller, often called “Queen of Kosher," is head judge at the event.
