1. Today is Monday, March 14 also written as 3.14 a/k/a pi day, so go enjoy a slice of your favorite pie.  Which Livingston eatery do you recommend? Tell us in comments. 2. Livingston Board of Education meets on Monday at 6 p.m. in the Heritage Middle School media center. The meeting will focus on the work done to-date on the Strategic Plan, as well as Livingston Education Week. In addition, the board will recognize the Teacher of the Year recipients. 3. Also on Monday, the Livingston Library Endowment Fund presents Ball Of Fire (1941) at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. The movie stars Gary Cooper as Professor Bertram Potts (one of a group of professors working on an encyclopedia of human knowledge). 5 Things You Need To Know

Special BOE Meeting To Consider 2-Hour Delay Opening

Plus a look at some special events to help you plan your week.

1. Monday, Feb. 7 at 5 p.m. The Board of Education will hold a special voting meeting to consider implementing a two-hour delay schedule. If approved, the two-hour delay schedule would go into effect immediately.  The district says the benefits of a two-hour delay schedule include: Additional time for roads and walkways to melt, rush hour is past, additional time for the district and township crews to clean and clear the previous evening’s/early morning’s accumulations, and the schedule would still meet the state Department of Education’s requirements for a full day of school. The meeting will be held in the central office large conference room located at 11 Foxcroft Drive.  The agenda may be found here.    2.
