Old Guard Presents Next Livingston BOE Forum

Three candidates will be at a forum presented by the Livingston Old Guard on Tues. Morning.

Candidates for the Livingston Board of Education will appear at a forum at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 9 at the Livingston Senior and Community Center. Candidates -- Pam Chirls, David Jasin, and Soumitra Rathod -- are running for two open seats on the local school board. Livingston voters will vote for the school board candidates for the first time in the general election on November 6. The election time was moved as a result of a new state law signed last January that gave districts the option to move their elections from April to November. The Livingston Old Guard is presenting the forum open to the public and residents are encouraged to attend.
