Board of Ed. Candidates Forum, 'Raising Resilient Girls' This Week

The Haverfield Company will be conducting transmission aerial patrols for Jersey Central Power & Light using a helicopter through Friday. The helicopter will be flying slowly between 20-30 miles per hour along the lines, and may hover at any time for a closer inspection.

    Collins Elementary School and Harrison Elementary School will have their back-to-school nights for parents Monday between 7:30-9 p.m. 

    Guest speaker Simone Marean will present Raising Resilient Girls, a discussion for school-aged girls on how to promote healthy self-expression and relationships, will be held Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at in the Mt. Pleasant Middle School auditorium, at 11 Broadlawn Drive. 

    Livingston Municipal Alliance Committee and Livingston Public Schools will sponsor the discussion. For more information, click here.

    Wednesday is the Livingston Board of Education's candidates night starting at 8 p.m. at the Senior & Community Center, at 204 Hillside Avenue. 

    Stop by to meet incumbents Ronnie Spring, current board president, and Leslie Winograd and challenger Arthur Altman. The three will contend for two open spots on the board in the Nov. 5 election. Each seat carries three-year terms.  

    Mt. Pleasant Elementary School will hold its back-to-school nights for parents on Wednesday between 7:30-9 p.m.

     
    Burnet Hill Elementary School will hold its back-to-school nights for parents on Thursday between 7-8:30 p.m.
