Livingston Public Schools will be closed Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Mt. Pleasant Middle School chorus and orchestra will put on a concert Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the school's auditorium.

The Livingston Public Library will present Thursday at 7:30 p.m. the former Seton Hall Professor Maxine Lurie who will talk about New Jersey's 350th Anniversary in a free discussion discussion titled "New Jersey: a History of the Garden State."

Dr. Lurie has written or edited several books about New Jersey, including: Mapping New Jersey : an Evolving Landscape, New Jersey : a history of the Garden State, and A New Jersey anthology. For more information, call (973) 992-4600.
