Report: 57 Pedestrians Killed in Essex County Between 2009-2011

Fifty-seven pedestrians were killed on Essex County roads in the three years from 2009 through 2011, according to a report from the Tri-State Transportation Campaign. 

The TSTC analysis of National Highway Traffic Safety Administration fatality data reveals that McCarter Highway (Route 21), Route 506 and Route 508 had the highest number of pedestrian deaths over the period studied.
