Livingston Board Of Ed Gets A New Look In 2014

Art Altman beat out incumbent and former board president Ronnie Spring in November's election.

The start of 2014 marked the induction of a new member to the Livingston Board of Education and the appointment of a new president. 

Art Altman was sworn in during Monday's board meeting. The newcomer and returning member Leslie Winograd were elected to the board in November. The two carried 33.4 and 37.4 percent of the vote, respectively, according to preliminary results. 

Altman beat out incumbent and former board president Ronnie Spring in November's election. 

In addition, board member Barry Funt got a vote of confidence from the board  and was appointed board president. Board member Pamela Chirls was elected as vice president.
