Livingston's Mt. Pleasant Middle School to Perform Fall Musical Thursday, Friday

'Taste of Freedom' is an original musical with lyrics and music written by Ken Schwartz, the middle school's theatre director.

Sixth-graders at Mt. Pleasant Middle School are preparing to take the stage this week and put on their fall musical.

The students will present “The Taste of Freedom,” an original musical that presents the pre-revolutionary war period with a rockin’ kick at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.

With lyrics and music written by Ken Schwartz, the middle school's theatre director, the musical mixes comedy and drama as it looks at the Boston Tea Party and the Battle of Lexington through the eyes of the citizens who brought about the revolution.

The performance will be in the Mt. Pleasant Middle School's auditorium, at 11 Broadlawn Drive. Tickets will be sold at the door for $7 for adults and $5 for students.
