Learn How to Enroll Preschoolers in LPS

Applications are due Feb. 8 for the Integrated Preschool Program.

The deadline for applications for the Integrated Preschool Program for children ages 3 and 4 offered by Livingston Public Schools is Feb. 8. The program offers a safe and nurturing learning experience for both children with special needs and typically developing children.
 
The classes are located at Burnet Hill Elementary School. Children in the 3-year-old preschool program will attend four half-day morning sessions on Monday-Thursday from 8:20 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. Children in the 4-year-old preschool program will attend four half-day afternoon sessions on Monday-Thursday from 11:50 a.m. to 2:20 p.m.
 
Regular education enrollment in the program is limited and will be determined by lottery. Students eligible for the lottery must be 3 or 4 years of age by Oct. 1, 2013 and may not turn 5 prior to the same date. A birth certificate, copy of immunizations and proof of Livingston residency will be required of those students admitted to the program.
   
Last year’s fee was $2,500. The fee for the 2013-2014 school year is yet to be determined pending decisions made by the State of New Jersey. 

Applications are available at the Livingston Board of Education office located at 11 Foxcroft Drive or can be downloaded on the district’s website www.livingston.org or at Student Services/Integrated Preschool.

Applicants will be notified of their child’s status no later than Feb. 15, 2013.
