Week Ahead: A Sacred Table and a Bit of Fantasy

This week in Livingston is chock full of meetings and events.


The Livingston Township Council meets tonight. The conference meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. and the regular meeting begins at 8 p.m. The agenda is included as a PDF attached to this story.

The also meets tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the Livingston High School Auditorium. All members of the community are invited and encouraged to attend.  This meeting will serve as the District’s public hearing on the 2012-2013 budget. On Tuesday at 12:30 p.m., The (321 S. Livingston Ave., Livingston) presents “Lunch & Learn: Diabetes and the YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program.” Learn about living with diabetes, managing it with diet and exercise, and preventing it if you have risk factors. Also on Tuesday, all women are welcome to join the Sisterhood of (300 E. Northfield Road, Livingston) celebration at 7:30 p.m. The event will be led by Rabbi Faith Joy Dantowitz and features guest speaker Rabbi Mary Zamore, editor of The Sacred Table: Creating a Jewish Food Ethic. On Saturday, March 31, meet teen fantasy author as he visits the (112 Eisenhower Pkwy, Livingston at the Livingston Mall) for a book signing featuring his novel, The Silver Talon. This is a reschedule of a previous event that was snowed out.
