Township: No Trash, Recycling Collection Due to Thanksgiving Holiday

Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday, recycling and trash collection dates will change for the week of Nov. 25.  

If you have Monday and Thursday garbage pick-up, your last garbage collection day (and bulk garbage collection) for November will be Monday, Nov. 25.  Therefore, your bulk garbage collection for November will be on Monday, Nov. 25. 

There will be no garbage collection on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, Nov. 28). If your garbage is normally picked up on Thursday, your next garbage collection day will be Monday, Dec. 2.

Recycling pickup changes with holiday schedule

If you are in Zone 4, your commingled recycling will be picked up on Friday, Nov. 29 (instead of Thursday, Nov. 28).

If you are in Zone 5, your commingled recycling will be collected on Saturday, Nov. 30 (instead of Friday, Nov. 29.)

November’s metal recycling will be collected on Wednesday, Nov. 27.  To be included call or email by noon on Friday, Nov. 22:  973-992-5000 ext. #5522 or ticolari@livingstonnj.org.  

In December, due to the Christmas holiday, December metal recycling pickup will be on Wednesday, Dec. 18; residents must contact the Public Works Department by noon on Friday, Dec. 13, to schedule a pickup.
