Nearly a Foot of Snow Blankets Livingston

Residents are reminded to dig out any fire hydrants nearby to ensure quick and safe access to them in case of fire.

Livingston's Public Works Department continues to clear snow Wednesday after about 11 inches of snow blanketed the township.

Public works crews plowed roads by 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to the township's website, and school driveways and parking lots were completed by 6:30 a.m.

"Roads have also been salted and will continue to clear up as the temperatures warm and the sun melts remaining snow and ice," the township announced on its website. "DPW workers are now focusing on clearing hydrants and bus stops."
