Check Up On Your Heart Health

Representatives from the Livingston Health Department, Saint Barnabas Medical Center and Seton Hall will offer cardiac health screenings.

Show your Valentine you have some heart and check up on the wellness of your own heart at the same time.

To celebrate heart month - nurses from the Livingston Health Health Department and Saint Barnabas Medical Center are holding a free cardiac wellness education program 11 a.m. to 1p.m. Wednesday at the Senior and Community Center, 204 Hillside Ave.

The event will feature blood pressure checks, body mass index screenings and cardiac wellness and risk assessments, said Janet Traettino, the township's public health nursing supervisor.

Information handouts on dieting and nutrition will be passed out, she said, and nursing students from Seton Hall will also help out.
