Two attendants of a South Orange Avenue gas station were robbed, assaulted, tied up and gagged by a pair of masked men early Friday morning.

The employees of the Exxon Tiger Mart were closing up shortly after midnight when a masked man struck one of the attendants in the back of the head with a gun, demanded his wallet and contents in the cash register and drop safe, according to NJ.com.

The masked bandits made off with about $850 and fled in a Nissa XTerra belonging to one of the employees, the report said. The employees were tied up with their mouths taped and were dumped behind the gas station, according to the report.
