Livingston Firefighter Joseph Nicholas Mullin

Mullin laid to rest with department honors at St. Philomena.

Livingston Firefighter Joseph Nicholas Mullin will be laid to rest with department honors at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Philomena’s Roman Catholic Church.

Mullin, 44, passed away on Friday, Aug. 12, 2011, at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown.

The Funeral Mass celebrating his life will be offered at St. Philomena's Church, 386 S. Livingston Ave., Livingston, on Wednesday at 11 a.m. The cremation service will be private.

Joseph was born in Morristown and had lived in Livingston, Lake George and, for the past 21 years, in East Hanover. He was the owner and operator of Mullin Garage Door Openers.

Joseph was a life member of the Livingston Fire Department and a past member of the East Hanover Fire Department. He was also a member of the Livingston Elks and had been an Army reservist.

Predeceased by his mother, Dorothy, he is survived by his beloved father, Joseph T.; his loving children, Molly and Owen; his devoted siblings, Christopher and Dootsie; six nephews; his former wife, Cynthia, and his loving sister-in-law, Nancy.
