The Essex County Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh and The Celtic Sisters will hold the 7th annual Frank Schott Memorial Blood Drive Sunday, Nov. 24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Shillelagh Club at 648 Prospect Avenue, West Orange.
The Schott Blood Drive is in memory of the late Frank Schott, Former Chief of the Orange Fire Department.
The Blood Drive collected more than 125 pints of blood last year and has become a major event for the NJ Blood Bank. The NJ Blood Center has reported that blood supplies are lower than ever this year and that this years drive is needed more than ever to replenish supplies as we head into the holiday season.
Students 16 and over are eligible to donate with a parent present.
Stage Left Restaurant of New Brunswick graciously feeds all donors a delicious Irish breakfast in appreciation for their donation!
The Shillelagh Club hosts this event in their clubhouse for the past seven years and it is a warm and welcoming environment on this special day.
The NJ Blood Center brings a full compliment of staff including the Blood Mobile to ensure that all Donors are screened, processed and donations completed in a timely fashion.
All are welcome to join the club.
