Water, Wine, & Chocolate: A Sweet, Savory, and Socially Conscious Soirée

The Great Swamp Watershed Association (GSWA) will hold a wine tasting event on Wednesday, February 19, for all New Jerseyans who live, work, play, or simply enjoy passing through the state’s Great Swamp region straddling Morris County and Somerset County.  This Valentine’s-Day-themed social mixer offers those who love the Great Swamp an opportunity to meet each other in a fun and relaxed setting, and catch up on regional clean water issues.

From 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., GSWA’s Water, Wine, and Chocolate party--held at the organization's headquarters at 568 Tempe Wick Road in Morristown--will offer tastes of a variety of fine wines along with several gourmet cheese and chocolate pairings.  Throughout the evening, GSWA’s Director of Water Quality Programs Laura Kelm will challenge partygoers to take the Great Swamp Match Game Challenge—a fun, new game that tests participants’ knowledge of the Great Swamp and the waters of each of its five tributary streams.  Later in the evening, GSWA’s resident trivia master, Director of Outreach and Education Hazel England, will present one her famous environmental fun quizzes.  Special prizes will be awarded to winners from both games!
