Memorial Service for Grace Chen at the Livingston Public Library

We are sad to note that longtime Livingston resident Grace Ho Chen passed away suddenly on September 16.  As the Head of the Youth Services Department at the Livingston Public Library for nearly three decades, Mrs. Chen helped to foster a love of reading in generations of children and served as an inspiration and mentor to all who worked with her.

Shortly after her retirement in 2004, the library honored Mrs. Chen by the dedication of the Grace Chen Children’s Terrace. 

In lieu of flowers, the Chen family is requesting that donations be made to the Livingston Public Library in her memory.

A memorial service will be held at the library on Saturday, September 21 at 10:30 am.  All are welcome to attend.
