Livingston Library Summer Movie: QUARTET

The fifth and final movie in the Summer Movie series at Livingston Library, is QUARTET, on August 16th at 1:30 PM.

QUARTET is direted by Dustin Hoffman, and stars Maggie Smith, Tom Courtenay, Pauline Collins, Billy Connolly and Michael Gambon. The movie takes place in a home for retired musicians, where Cecily, Reggie and Wilfred play in an annual concert to celebrate the birth of composer Giuseppe Verdi. A new arrival at the home (played by Smith) turns out to be Reggie's ex-wife, and she disrupts the whole concert. She refuses to sing, but still plays the diva! Still, the show must go on, and it does. The film is rated PG.
