Livingston Library Monday at the Movies: LEE DANIELS' THE BUTLER

The afternoon show is at 1:00 pm. The evening show will begin at 7:00 pm.

Adapted from the Washington Post article, “A Butler Well Served By This Election,” by Wil Haygood, THE BUTLER is the story of Eugene Allen’s tenure as a butler at the White House.  Forrest Whittaker and Oprah Winfrey star.

During three decades Allen served eight presidents, witnessed the civil rights movement, Vietnam, and other major events which affected his own family and American society. 

Film programs are sponsored by the Livingston Library Endowment Fund. They are free and open to everyone. Additional parking is available along the Oval.
