Monday at the Movies - MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING (2012, rated PG-13, 1 hour, 50 minutes). The evening show begins at 7:00 pm.
"Much Ado About Nothing," is director Joss Whedon's modern-dress version of Shakespeare's classic comedy about two pairs of lovers with different takes on romance. It was filmed in black and white, in his own Los Angeles house.
Whedon's cast is wonderful straight down the line: Amy Acker and Alexis Denisof are adept in portraying Beatrice and Benedick; Reed Diamond as Don Pedro; Clark Gregg as Leonato and especially Nathan Fillion as Dogberry. Fillion takes full advantage of every twist and turn in language.
