The Livingston Historical has invited Mr. Ryan Hyman, curator of Macculloch Hall Historical Museum who will give a power point presentation on 19th century cartoonist Thomas Nast.
Nast is best known for the political cartoons he created for "Harper's Weekly" in the 1800's. He is most famous for popularizing the images of the Republican elephant, the Democratic donkey, Uncle Sam etc. His extensive collection is displayed at Macculloch Hall Historical Museum.
The museum, located in Morristown NJ, preserves the history of the Morris area
