Kara Ali At Mo Fiddles!

Meet Kara Ali.
Many of you might know her as Kara Goldsmith, a Livingston native who was
very active in LHS theater and music during her time in town.  Having
taken piano and voice lessons since early childhood, Kara started writing songs
as a Sophomore in High School when she was given a free guitar by a family
friend.  She soon found herself performing at local cafes and high school
events, where she crafted her skills.  Over the years, Kara has built an
arsenal of songs and self-released two EPs.

Singer/Songwriter Kara Ali is
now living in the city, where she has had the opportunity to perform across the
city from The Bitter End to Rockwood Music Hall to exclusive private parties
and Industry Showcases.  Often described as a songstress with a mix of
bluesy acoustic soul, folk and jazz, Kara has also had the privilege of writing
for Northwestern University's Waa-Mu show, a Musical Theater revue performed
for the Northwestern and Chicagoland community.  She is currently working
on her debut full-length album along with producer Robert "LB" Dorsey, who has had credits on albums for Alicia Keys, The Roots, N'Sync and
Jill Scott to name a few. The up and coming singer will be happy back in her
hometown performing a live acoustic set at Mo Fiddles, 4260 Town Center Way
this Saturday, August 17th at 7pm.  Visit www.karaalimusic.com for
