Holy Week and Easter Services

Grace Lutheran Church will have worship services on both Maundy Thursday (4/17) and Good Friday (4/18) at 7:30 PM in preparation for Easter.  The Maundy Thursday service, entitled "Jesus' blood forgives your sins," will recount when Jesus celebrated His last Passover Seder, where He instituted the lord's Supper for the forgiveness of our sins.  The Good Friday service, entitled "My God, why have You forsaken Me," will be a Tenebrae service where the church becomes progressively darker, symbolizing the depth of our sin and our need for God's saving love.

On Easter Sunday (4/20) we will have two services to celebrate when Jesus rose from the dead.  The Easter Sunrise service, at 7:00 AM, is entitled "Died ... buried ... raised ... appeared," and will emphasize that is most important about our faith as we celebrate the light of God's love shining forth in our lives.  The Easter Celebration service will be at 10:15 AM and will be entitled "Do not be afraid ... He has risen!"  Here we will celebrate Jesus' new life from the grave and our new life as members of Jesus' body, the community of believers.
