FREE College Admissions 101 Event

Have you always wondered things like --

  • Is it better to get an B in an AP course or an A in a regular or honors course?
  • How do I build an appropriate college list?
  • ACT or SAT?
  • How do I get into reach schools?
  • Is it harder to get in if I am from NJ?
  • Do I need to volunteer? If so, how much?
  • What makes college essays effective?
  • How much do interviews matter?
  • What are the most common application mistakes?
  • How does the waitlist work?
If you're looking for straightforward answers to the above questions and more, come to Admissions 101 at The Springfield Free Public Library on Wednesday, July 23rd from 7-8:30 pm. Rhiannon Schade, Director of College Counseling for Collegewise of Millburn, will present on the role of each piece of the college application from the perspective of an admissions officer and attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions. This event is free and is open to high school students and their parents. RSVPs are recommended (because there are excellent handouts!). Register here.
