One Small Step: The Federated Church hosts its annual Fair Trade Sale

It’s time, once again, to begin your holiday shopping and show your support of certified Fair Trade Organizations by supporting the annual “One Small Step” Fair Trade Sale at the Federated Church of Livingston.  The sale will run for two consecutive weekends beginning this Friday Nov. 9 from 5:00-7:00 PM, and then continues on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 10:00-5:00; and Sunday, Nov. 11 from 12:00-5:00.  The following weekend the sale will be held Friday Nov. 16 from 5:00-7:00 PM, Saturday, Nov. 17 from 10:00-5:00, and Sunday, Nov. 18 from 12:00-5:00

For more visibility and convenience to the community, this year’s sale will be held in Memorial Hall, the brick building at 15 N. Livingston Ave. adjacent to the parking lot. 

All merchandise offered at the sale is from certified Fair Trade organizations.  This year we are pleased to announce that we have new products available.  We are offering a spa collection of soaps, body lotions, scrubs and lip balms from Bread of Life.  There is also jewelry, hair accessories, shawls, scarves, hats, home décor, kitchen items, and much, much more!  The products are hand crafted by artisans around the world.  A few of the companies represented are: Ten Thousand Villages, Dsenyo, INTO, and Colours, among many others.

Fair Trade certified companies work with artisans and farmers in developing countries. By purchasing these products, consumers are improving the lives of people around the world.
