How Did Livingston Vote In The Special Senate Election?

Find out by using Livingston Patch's interactive map to get a break down of how each district voted.

Livingston was fully behind Democratic candidate Corey Booker as he carried the majority of the state to become the next U.S. Senator from New Jersey in a special election on Wednesday.

Statewide, Booker handily beat Republican Steven Lonegan, a former mayor of Bogota in Bergen County, 55 to 44 percent. Booker will now fill the Senate seat left vacant by Frank Laugtenberg who died June 17 . He was 89.

And Livingston voted in stride with the rest of the state yesterday.

Booker carried a whopping 61 percent of Livingston's votes, according to preliminary results. Booker, currently the mayor of Newark, garnered 3,100 votes, compared to Lonegan's 1,940.

Turnout was low for the special Wednesday election, with just under 24 percent of eligible voters going to the polls.

Booker carried every one of Livingston's 26 Districts except District 10, according to preliminary results.
