Introduction and answer to Disney Again?

Many people ask me why we go to Disney so much and my answer is always the same, why not? We love it there.  The next question is always about how expensive it is to go there.  Yes it can be.  There are many things that can be done to make the trip more cost efficient but that’s a topic for another day.  So why go to Disney over and over again and if possible multiple times a year.  Well for us it’s a vacation that everyone in our family can enjoy.  We are a family of four which is common enough but we are also a family with a 9 year age difference in our kids, one in 10th grade and one in 1st grade.  Over the years we found that Disney was a place where both our kids could find things they loved to do.  Not always an easy task.  My six year old can ride almost every ride at Disney, and is brave enough to do most of them.  He loves the characters and the shows and parades.  He is a part of everything the whole family does when we are there and doesn’t have to sit out and wait while the “big” people ride stuff.  My teenager also likes the characters (especially princesses, they are all super pretty, ha ha) but he can enjoy a lot of the shows and thrill rides too.  He also can enjoy finding special snacks throughout all the parks, especially EPCOT where there is always a special candy to be found in each country.  My husband, who was not originally a Disney lover, has over the years become a complete convert.  He found pin trading and it has become a quest for him to find certain types of pins or characters.  He can spend an entire day looking at each cast member’s pins, to the point where we sometimes just leave him behind to search out pins while we go do other things.  I am not ashamed to admit that I love all the obvious things about Disney but my favorite part is the planning.  I can’t tell you how much I love planning each trip.  Figuring out what restaurants to dine in and snagging that reservation makes me so excited.  I love trying to find new ideas on things to do while we are there and then seeing everyone’s excitement when we find that one special activity.  Where else can you go dozens of times but still always find something new to do or to eat? Disney that’s where.

This blog is going to be about me sharing some of the fun things to do around Disney in and out of the parks.  I also will talk about other fun things to do or places to go.  I am leaving it open to talk about things around town too.  Everything I write about is my experience or opinion.  I hope you enjoy and maybe find some of the information useful.
