Annual Essex County Police Expo Returns to Livingston Mall

Livingston Mall will show its support for local law enforcement during the annual Essex County Police & Public Safety Expo on Saturday, May 3, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., kicking off with an opening ceremony at 11 a.m. in the mall’s Center Court.

Held throughout the mall and in the parking lot between Eisenhower Parkway and Sears, the expo, hosted by the Essex County Crime Prevention Officers Association, invites the community to view live demonstrations featuring a variety of police equipment and different types of vehicles used by law enforcement officers, including patrol cars, motorcycles and trucks.  The expo also will offer safety programs such as Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.), discuss how to safely navigate the Internet, offer tips to prevent crime, a fire safety house and demonstrate proper child car seat installation, and much more.

In addition, parents will have the opportunity to have their children fingerprinted as well as obtain a photo of their youngsters for identification purposes as part of the Kid Care Child ID Program, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Livingston.  All children will receive a special gift.
