Margaritas Restaurant Holds New Year's Eve and School Specials

Margaritas Mexican Restaurant is donating a part of proceeds to the Livingston Education Foundation this week and offering a family-friendly New Year's Eve countdown

Grab the family and kids and get ready for a fiesta. 

Margaritas Mexican Restaurant at 372 W. Mount Pleasant Ave, , will be ushering in 2012 with some flair on Saturday. Diners who eat at the restaurant will experience the New Year several times over with a countdown party featuring noisemakers, games and other festivities from 5 to 11 p.m.

The restaurant will celebrate the New Year throughout several time zones, starting with Greece, Turkey, and Russia, the move westward across Europe and North and South America, said Robert Kurtz, one of the restaurant principles.

"We have a lot of games for kids to play with, coloring on the table, activity cards where families can share the best events of 2011, what they wish for 2012," Kurtz said.

The restaurant is also offering a special in which $5 will be donated to the Livingstion Education Foundation for customers that purchase at least two entrees. The offer is good until Friday.
