Burger Time: Don's Set to Open Tomorrow

It has been a while . But, after the long wait, folks will very soon get an opportunity to see if this new incarnation of the Livingston landmark is worthy of carrying the name.

The signs are up, the interior is finished and Don's will be open to customers starting at 11 a.m. tomorrow.

Don's Restaurant, originally Don's Drive-In, opened in Livingston in the 1950s and existed there until the mid-1990s, having carved out a reputation big enough that people have been waiting with bated breath for this revival to finally open, so much so they have been talking about on the restaurant's own Facebook page.

, having died in 2009, a family friend has taken Don's recipes–and the name, to South Street, between  and . It remains to be seen if what is made at Don's Burgers, Fries and Fountain will be good enough to make even its namesake smile from above.
