Photography Exhibit Marks One-Year Anniversary of Sandy

Local couple nominated for CNN iReport award for their images of Jersey Shore devastation.

A selection of photographs taken by a local husband and wife in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy go on display at the Little Falls Public Library this week.

Little Falls residents Susan and Clifford Rumpf captured thousands of images of the destruction caused by the Oct. 29, 2012 storm that devastated the Jersey Shore. The couple — award-winning photographers and graphic designers with Imagine This Design — shared their images in a series of posts on CNN's iReport.

The Rumpfs were among a select group of citizen journalists out of almost 11,000 iReports published in 2012 to be nominated for an iReport award earlier this year.

An opening reception for the exhibition is planned for Thursday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

The images will remain on exhibit through the end of November at the library, 8 Warren St., in Little Falls.
