Livingston Canines Hit The Runway Sunday For Annual Dog Pawrade

Those interested in participating in the Dog Pawrade can pre-register at any Regal Bank branch location.

The dog show is coming to town. 

The annual Regal Bank Livingston Dog Pawrade will take place Sunday, Sept. 29, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Regal Bank, at at 570 West Mt. Pleasant Ave. All proceeds will go to the Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter. 

“No bones about it, this is a fun and exciting day for dog lovers,” said Christina Slater, vice president and regional manager for Regal Bank and organizer of the event.

“Best of all, the proceeds we raise will benefit the Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter, a non-profit animal welfare organization that provides rescue and rehoming for neglected and unwanted dogs and cats."

The event raised $2,100 for the local animal shelter in 2012.

Friendly and sociable dogs are welcome to participate in the dog parade. Trophies will be awarded to the top three dogs in the categories of: Best Costume, Biggest Dog and Smallest Dog. 

In addition to the parade, there will be prizes, raffles, merchant exhibits and plenty of doggie treats. 

The Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter will also have dogs up for adoption at the event.  

“Regal Bank is a dog’s best friend," said Rebecca Pollak, community relations coordinator for Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter. "We are delighted that Regal Bank has ‘adopted’ our efforts to promote pet adoption. This annual community event raises our visibility in Livingston, which we hope will result in an increased number of dogs finding forever homes." 

Those interested in participating in the Dog Pawrade can pre-register at any Regal Bank branch location. 

The cost to pre-register is $10 and any additional dogs in the family can be registered for just $1 each. Those unable to pre-register can do so on the day of the event for $15.
