Livingston Council Cancels Meeting Due To Snowstorm

As the snow continues to fall in town, Livingston Patch has compiled a list of what you need to know during the storm. 

A winter storm warning has been issued for all of North Jersey starting that will extend from noon Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. 

The storm will bring more extreme cold weather with wind gusts up to 30 miles per hour, making it feel as low as 10-below zero during the overnight hours Tuesday, the NWS said.

Livingston Council Meeting Cancelled 

The Livingston Council announced around 2 p.m. that its meeting scheduled for Tuesday evening is canceled.  

Livingston Police Contact

Residents are also asked to use 911 for emergencies only. For non-emergencies, call the Livingston Police Department at 973-992-3000. 

Report Power-Outages 

Residents are reminded to report outages immediately to PSE&G by calling 1-800-436-PSEG (7734) rather than contacting the police department. 

On-Street Parking Prohibited 

Public-street parking is prohibited when roads are covered with snow in Livingston. 

NJ Transit, Cross-Honoring Tickets Through Wednesday

NJ TRANSIT is cross-honoring tickets on Tuesday and Wednesday, according to its website. 

Customers can use their ticket or pass on an alternate travel mode — rail, light rail or bus — including private bus carriers. 

DeCamp Bus Lines Cross-Honoring Tickets

DeCamp Bus Lines will be cross-honoring NJ Transit tickets/passes Tuesday and Wednesday.
