Look to the Night Sky Wednesday for Rocket Launch

NASA launch from Virginia spaceport may be visible in New Jersey.

The planned launch of NASA military satellite Wednesday night may create a spectacular sight for skywatchers in New Jersey, according to NASA. The launch is expected to go at 10:05 p.m. (Updated: Holding. Hoping to resolve issues for another launch attempt tonight. Officially planning on an 11:28 #ORS1 launch. Stay tuned).

U.S. Air Force's Minotaur 1 rocket was scheduled to blast off Tuesday night from a Virginia spaceport, but bad weather pushed the launch back to Wednesday between 8:28 p.m. and 11:28 p.m.

The launch will be webcast and NASA plans to send out countdown updates via Twitter.
