The following has been submitted by Alan Karpas, Chairman of the Livingston 20/20 Committee:
The Livingston Primetime Shuttle, which accommodated 1,029 riders during October, its first month of operation, is now back in full operation after Super Storm Sandy.
The shuttle, which provides round trip, direct service between the Livingston Mall and South Orange train station, has resumed its full, normal service Hurricane Sandy. In the days since the super storm, service on New Jersey Transit and the PATH were seriously affected, thus leading to disruption in the Livingston shuttle service. The shuttle service resumed its schedule as soon as NJ Transit started running trains from South Orange.
Commuters and shoppers can utilize the $2 per ride service from Monday-Friday during morning hours from 5:30-9:30 a.m. and evenings from 4-9 p.m. Complete fair and schedule information, as well as details on ordering a monthly pass for $70, can be found at www.livingstonsyls.org.
Riders continue to praise the friendliness of the driver, the reliability, convenience and low cost of the shuttle service.
