Letter: Livingston Bicentennial Committee Looking For Volunteers

The group asks that businesses and residents consider being a part of the celebration.

Dear Editor,

As you know, the year 2013 is fast approaching.  But, did you also know that in 2013 Livingston will be celebrating its Bicentennial?  Yes, imagine being 200!  The Livingston Bicentennial Committee is busy planning many fabulous exhibits and activities to honor our great town.  One of these events involves honoring various aspects of the community.

Are you a commercial business, big or small, a house of worship, or an organization that would be interested in being part of this town wide bicentennial celebration?  The Bicentennial Historical Committee is currently distributing large display boards on which you have an opportunity to tell the history of your business or group through photographs, memorabilia, and the written word.  These display boards will be exhibited at various places in the town where everyone will have the opportunity to learn about you.

Numerous groups have already chosen to create these exhibit boards to share their story with the rest of the community.  Please consider being a part of our celebration.  We hope you will join us in this very special endeavor.  Livingston is a very special town and we want to celebrate its bicentennial in the best way possible.

If you would like to participate in our business, house of worship, or organization exhibition, please email us at one of the following addresses:
