Harrison Daisy Troop Helps the Military Overseas

Daisy Troop #20182 is collecting donations

Fifteen excited and motivated kindergartners from Harrison Elementary School’s Daisy Troop #20182 manned their own table at the first Livingston Volunteer Fair held Saturday, Jan. 26 at the Livingston Senior and Community Center.

The Daisy Troop is currently collecting supplies for the military to send overseas. Their goal is to send the soldiers reminders of home and items they miss.

Top requests from soldiers include: Protein powder and protein bars; iTunes gift cards; travel size deodorants, moisturizer and mouthwash; sunblock; crackers, trail mix and sunflower seeds; vitamins; pre-paid phone cards and more. Please no canned goods or glassware. Items must be new and in original packaging.

Residents and community can drop off supplies and donations to Weichert Realtors, Anthony Francos Pizzeria and Swede’s Yogurt through Feb. 4.

The girls will spend their next Daisy Troop meeting putting together the military care packages and making handmade cards and signs.
