The Harlem Wizards are coming to Livingston tomorrow, and they are bringing a very special guest.
On Sunday, December 2, the Harlem Wizards will be teaming with the CARES Foundation to put on a special community basketball game at Livingston High School. The Wizards will be taking on an array of community members, such as teachers, politicians and other Livingston residents. Tip off will be at 2 p.m.
Joining the world famous basketball team will be popular daytime talk show host Wendy Williams. Williams will address the crowd before tip-off and she will be announcing the home team players.
The event is being held to benefit CARES Foundation, which is the only nonprofit in the United States that raises awareness, funds research and provides support for families affected by Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH), a life threatening adrenal disorder.
Contests will also be held throughout the game in which winners can take home great prizes, ranging from gift cards to local businesses to free camp tuition at Willow Lake Day Camp in Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey.
Advance tickets are available online at www.harlemwizards.com. The cost is $12 for students and $15 for adults. If available, you may also purchase tickets at the door. Game day prices are $15 for students and $18 for adults.
Residents can also buy tickets at Jay’s and Swede’s. Swede's will be offering 20% off of yogurt to people who purchase event tickets at their store.
CARES is still accepting corporate and individual sponsors so if you are interested in hearing more, or donating to the event, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Premier level sponsors get a booth and signage at the game, reserved seating, free tickets and the option to select a home team player. All levels of sponsorship get mention in the game-day flyer and on the CARES website.
