Food-Filled Art Takes Over Livingston Library This Month

The 5th annual June Art Show features the theme 'Food Haven' and will be open for viewing until the end of the month.

Blushing red watermelon, a bushel of fresh oranges and a steaming plate of hot dogs are what people can expect to see at the Livingston Public Library.

Christine Wittlinger of the Livingston Chinese School is currently hosting her 5th Annual June Art Show, showcasing art from children and teens ages 5 to 16, until the end of the month.

This year's art show theme is "Food Haven," with works created with water colors, oil pastels, markers, crayons and a variety of mixed media.

Wittlinger, who has an art and business degrees from China, is the instructor for all artists featured in the show.

Her students have won local awards such as the 2010 logo design contest for Livingston Summer Camp and "most original" at the October Tails Contest.

For more information on the show, contact Wittlinger directly by email at Honq5@aol.com or by phone at 862-216-9585.
