B'nai Abraham Midnight Run…Rides Again

The annual run provides donations for Apostle House.

The Temple B’nai Abraham (TBA) Midnight Run, the distribution of donated clothing and food to those in need at the Apostle House in Newark, will take place on thee Saturday night of Thanksgiving holiday weekend, November 24.  This annual event, sponsored by TBA High School students and the Livingston Chapters of B’nai Brith Girls (BBG) and Aleph Zadik Aleph (AZA), is preceded by a month–long food and clothing drive/collection at the temple which is ongoing until November 22.

If you would like to contribute to this effort, the donation of the following items will be happily accepted:  diapers and baby wipes;  clothing items (new or in good condition) winter jackets, socks, shoes (hiking boots & sneakers), Men’s & Women’s sweatshirts & sweaters, gloves/hats/scarves, new socks and twin sheets, towels, as well as monetary donations and gift cards from Shoprite, Target, and Wal-Mart. and food items. The food items should be high protein, non-perishable, and in unopened packages. Suggested food items: Peanut butter and jelly, Juice boxes, Snack Packs, Soda cans Granola bars/cookies, and Coffee/cocoa.          

Please drop off donations by November 22, 2012 at Temple B’nai Abraham. Donations may be placed in the collection box located in the coatroom. Any questions, please contact TBA Director of Youth Programming Claudia Minde  cminde@tbanj.org  (973) 994-2290 ext. 247.
