Educators from The Children's Institute to Present at NJECC Conference

Teachers, behaviorists and technology experts from The Children’s Institute (TCI) are scheduled to offer special education presentations at the 28th Annual NJ Educational Computing Cooperative Conference (NJECC) March 11-13 at Montclair State University in Montclair.

The NJECC 2014 includes leadership, special education and library strands. Seven educators from The Children’s Institute, a non-profit school for children ages preschool to age 21 on the autism spectrum on two campuses in Verona and Livingston, will offer five of the 13 special education presentations at the conference.

All of the sessions are one hour and are targeted for special education teachers in New Jersey and will be offered on Tuesday, March 11.  Teacher David DiIanni will lead a presentation on “Working with Autism, Careers and Social Skills through Media Creation.” DiIanni runs the film/media program at TCI High School and also offers the TCI Film School, after-school and Saturday programs for children on the spectrum with an interest in film and media.
