Livingston Mall's 'CANstruction' Helps Fight Hunger And More Thursday

The Livingston Mall will host CANstruction, a design competition that helps fight hunger and benefits local food banks. The event, now in its 15th year and third at the local mall, will be held in conjunction with The New Jersey Chapter of the American Institute of Architects' Newark and Suburban section on the lower level of the mall next to Banres & Noble.

The unique food charity program that calls upon teams of architects, engineers, contractors and designers, as well as college design students, to design and build giant-sized structures made entirely from canned food. It begins at 8 a.m. 

Bring your lunch and appetite for learning and Temple B'nai Abraham's Rabbi Faith Joy Dantowitz will provide the intellectual sustenance and beverages!

This lunch and learn will begin at 11:30 a.m at the temple, at 300 E. Northfield Road and is free. The program allows the community to explore their beliefs and questions about God.

The course will include explorations of God of the Bible, Rabbinic Judaism, Kabbalah, Modern Theologians and contemporary views. Believers, doubters and non-believers are all welcome. Registration is required. For more info, call 973-994-2290 or register here.
