Guest Speaker Talks About Gun Violence, Essex Art Show and More

NCJW/Essex County Section will sponsor a Lunch and Learn with Brina Milikowsky, senior policy advisor and counsel of the NYC Office of the Mayor/Mayors Against Illegal Guns. She is an expert on gun violence. 

The talk will begin at noon at Temple Emanu-El of West Essex, at 264 West Northfield Road. The fee is $18 for members and $25 for nonmembers.  Buffet lunch is included. For more information or to register, call the NCJW office at 973-740-0588. 

The Livingston Public Library's book sale is fully stocked and ongoing. Friends of the Livingston Public Library has more than 1,500 books available for purchase. Stop by the library during normal operating hours and pick up a summer book. 

The 74th annual West Essex Art Association's Members Show will be on display throughout October starting Tuesday in the Towne Square Gallery in Crane's Mill, at 459 Passaic Ave. in West Caldwell. 

The entries by member artists include sculpture and work in oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, collage and mixed media.  The gallery is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. For more information, call (973) 439-9727.
